Glazes, Transparent Watercolor Hues Pigments

  1. Pigments used: Azo Yellow, Quin.Rose and Cobalt Blue. First graded wash was painted with straight Azo Yellow, very pale. Let it dry, bone dry. Second graded wash Quinacridone Rose, very pale. Third graded wash Cobalt blue, also very pale.
    The washes may be made using wet in wet, or direct technique. You may also use a flat or graded wash.
    The mountains and barns were created with direct washes.
